War Poem
The war has gone on for weeks, maybe even months.
It’s hard to tell time when you’ve been
Out here for this long. We lie in a trench next
To a bed of poppies hoping we can return
To our families when this dreadful war is finished.
We have made a strong promised to our families,
And we try our best not to break it.
Solemn is all we feel as the days go on, but
We know they will remember us on
this day, for this day is a day to remember.

gorilla opinion
In room five we have been writing gorilla opinions. We heard that there had been a gorilla shot at Cincinnati zoo and we had to decide if the zookeeper should or shouldn't have shot the gorilla. I chose no. I hope you enjoy.
In My Opinion
By Rawiri
Have you heard that there has been a silverback gorilla shot at Cincinnati Zoo? Well I think that he shouldn't have been shot just because a four year old fell in his enclosure, and here are four reasons why.
First of all, silverbacks are endangered. He should not have been shot, they could go extinct, and then there would be no silverback gorillas.
Secondly, where were the parents? They are really bad caregivers if they just let there little boy wonder into a gorilla enclosure. Why didn’t they have him in a pram in the first place?
I also think, why couldn’t they have tranquilized the gorilla? That would have been a WAAAAy better sulation (and less lethal, of course).
Last but not least, if the gorilla was shot he would have fallen on the boy. For example, a gorilla can weigh up to 400 LB. Who would want that much weight falling on them.
The gorilla should not have been shot by the zookeeper. Silverbacks are endanger, they should have tranquilize the gorilla instead, if he got shot he could have fallen on the boy, and the parents should have kept him in a pram. If you don’t know about this, look it up on Youtube and form your own opinion.

A Heated Debate
This time me and my sister, Anahera, did a collaboration. We each chose a season we though would be best for tourists to visit. I chose summer and Anahera chose winter. Here is our collaboration. Check out on Anahera's blog too. Hope you enjoy😁😎
