The war has gone on for weeks, maybe even months.
It’s hard to tell time when you’ve been
Out here for this long. We lie in a trench next
To a bed of poppies hoping we can return
To our families when this dreadful war is finished.
We have made a strong promised to our families,
And we try our best not to break it.
Solemn is all we feel as the days go on, but
We know they will remember us on
this day, for this day is a day to remember.
Hi Rawiri, it's Tahlia here from Awahono School. I really like your Anzac Poem you wrote because you have made it sound like you were a soldier right there in the moment. Another thing that was amazing about this poem is the fantastic descriptive words you put into this poem, like the word solemn because it really describes what you are feeling. Over all this is an amazing poem, and I can't wait to hear more.
ReplyDeleteHi Rawiri, it's Hunter from Awahono school i like how your talking about coming home to your "Famliy". Next time you could talk about how its hard for you to get rest with all the gun shots. kind regardes from Hunter.

Hi Jacob here from Awahono School I like your war poem because you made it like it was a real person actually writing it in war. Maybe next time you could have a blurb of information about why you did it and who you are.
